If your domain uses our nameservers, you manage its DNS records in cPanel.
- Log in to cPanel.
- Go to Domains > Zone Editor.
- Click Manage next to your domain.
- Use Add Record to create a record, or the Edit and Delete buttons to change existing ones.
Record |
What it does |
Example |
|---|---|---|
A |
Points a name to an IPv4 address |
AAAA |
Points a name to an IPv6 address |
CNAME |
Points a name to another name |
MX |
Says which server receives your email |
TXT |
Holds text, often for verification, SPF or DKIM |
Take care with MX records. Changing them moves where your email is delivered. If you use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for email, follow their instructions exactly.
If your domain uses someone else's nameservers, you need to manage DNS with that provider instead. Changes normally appear within an hour, depending on the record's TTL.
