How do I change my client area or cPanel password?

Your client area and cPanel have separate passwords. We recommend a different, strong password for each, stored in a password manager.

Client area password

  1. Log in to the client area.
  2. Click your name in the top-right corner and choose Change Password.
  3. Enter your current password and your new one, then click Save Changes.

Forgotten it? Click Forgotten Password? on the login page and we will email you a reset link.

cPanel password

  1. In the client area, go to Services > My Services and click your hosting service.
  2. Click Change Password in the left-hand menu.
  3. Enter and confirm a new password and click Save Changes.

You can also change it from inside cPanel under Preferences > Password & Security. Changing your cPanel password does not change your email account passwords.

For extra protection, turn on two-factor authentication. See our Security article on 2FA.
