How do I change my PHP version and settings?

Different websites need different PHP versions. You can choose the version for each domain.

To change the PHP version:

  1. In cPanel, go to Software > MultiPHP Manager.
  2. Tick the domain you want to change.
  3. Choose a version from the PHP Version drop-down and click Apply.

We recommend the newest version your website supports. Older versions no longer receive security fixes. Always check that your CMS, plugins and themes support a version before switching, and take a backup first.

To change PHP settings such as memory_limit, upload_max_filesize or max_execution_time:

  1. Go to Software > MultiPHP INI Editor.
  2. Choose the domain from the drop-down.
  3. Change the values and click Apply.

The maximum values allowed depend on your hosting plan.
