How do I block an IP address in cPanel?

If a particular address is attacking your site or sending abusive traffic, you can block it.

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Go to Security > IP Blocker.
  3. Enter an IP address, a range (203.0.113.1-203.0.113.50), or a CIDR block (203.0.113.0/24).
  4. Click Add.

Blocked visitors will see an error when they try to reach your website. To remove a block, click Delete next to it on the same page.

Be careful not to block your own IP address. You can find it by searching "what is my IP". If you are seeing a large attack from many addresses, open a ticket so we can help at server level.
