How do I recognise a genuine email from Renewable Web?

Scammers often pretend to be hosting and domain companies. Here is how to tell a real email from us.

We will never:

  • ask for your password, card number or security codes by email or phone
  • ask you to pay by gift card, cryptocurrency or to a new bank account
  • threaten to delete your website within hours unless you click a link

Genuine emails from us:

  • come from an address ending in @renewableweb.co.uk
  • link only to renewableweb.co.uk pages. Hover over a link to check before clicking
  • include an invoice or ticket number you can also see when you log in to the client area yourself

Watch out for fake domain "renewal" letters. Companies with names like "Domain Registry" send official-looking invoices offering to renew your domain. Paying them can transfer your domain away. Your domain renewals only ever appear in your client area.

If in doubt, do not click. Log in to the client area directly, or open a ticket and forward us the email.
