The process depends on the domain's extension.
.uk domains (.co.uk, .uk, .org.uk and so on)
- Order a transfer in our client area via Domains > Transfer Domains.
- Ask your current registrar to change the domain's IPS tag to ENOM.
- Once the tag is changed, the domain moves to us, usually within a few hours.
.uk transfers do not need an authorisation code, and they do not add a year to the registration.
Other domains (.com, .net, .org and so on)
- At your current registrar, unlock the domain and request its EPP / authorisation code.
- Order a transfer in our client area via Domains > Transfer Domains and enter the code.
- Approve the transfer if you receive a confirmation email.
These transfers usually take 5 to 7 days and add one year to the registration. A domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of being registered or previously transferred.
Your website and email will keep working during the transfer as long as the nameservers stay the same.
