Free SSL certificates with AutoSSL

Every domain on our shared hosting gets a free SSL certificate through AutoSSL. It is issued and renewed automatically, so there is nothing to buy or install.

AutoSSL covers your domain, its www. version, and standard subdomains such as mail. and webmail..

If your site is not showing a certificate:

  1. Check the domain points to our server. AutoSSL cannot issue a certificate until DNS resolves to us, which can take up to 48 hours after a change.
  2. In cPanel, go to Security > SSL/TLS Status.
  3. Look for any domains marked with a red icon and read the reason shown.
  4. Click Run AutoSSL to try again.

Common reasons for failure are a domain pointed elsewhere, a CAA record that blocks the certificate authority, or a .htaccess rule that blocks the validation check.

If you need a certificate with extra validation, such as Organisation Validation (OV) or a warranty, see our paid SSL certificates.
